Dain Norman & The Chrysalis Effect @ Pono Ranch

Bio- Dain Norman & The Chrysalis Effect is based out of the greater Seattle area, the project forming as an engine for Dain Norman's solo music and sound. Dain Norman performs around the entire PNW both solo and with The Chrysalis Effect, which acts as more of a collective, bringing a very high energy and fresh sound to a vintage vibe. The sound is very influenced by 1950s, 1960's & 1970's rock n' roll, and soul. The studio sound is also very much recorded in vintage styles as well. Dain will often produce and play every instrument on the recordings, layering each track, starting with the drums, then bass, guitars, keys, and vocals. The band also plays on recordings, usually recording completely live in the studio like the classic groups did, then adding over dubs. Dain Norman has a few releases out, "HelloJude Productions" EP (2016), "Lantern" Album (2019), "Back Down To Earth" EP (2021), "Shades Of Blue" Double album, (2024) recorded partially at London Bridge studio with owner Jonathan Plum. Currently the project is working on a new record titled, "Sunbeam", also a Beatles cover album, "Soldier Of Love", an oldies cover album " Not Fade Away", and compiling a Live album from concert recordings.
